TEHRAN, May 3, YJC - Iran has become the second country in terms of the know-how of high-pressure compressors up to 750 cfm.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The foreign version of the system costs $500.000, but the home-made one costs one thirds, said Bahram Barani who has developed the expertise.
 
The know-how of the compressors has only been owned by Americans so far.
 
The high-pressure compressors are used in oil, gas, railroad and maritime industries as well as power plants for providing compressed gas and air.
 
The locally-made compressors have been built based on the API standards.
 
Iran has lessened maintenance costs by 30 percent through building the compressor.
 
The indigenous system saves energy by 15 percent, increases spare parts life, lessens air pollution and operating costs by 40 percent.
 
The Iranian company located in Isfahan is capable of producing 400 systems annually.
