TEHRAN, May 7, YJC - Iranian engineers managed to design and produce indigenous transformers required for oil and gas fields and power plants.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - A team of engineers from Iran Transfo Co. managed to accomplish the project for the first time in Iran.Arsalan Fathi-Pour, the Managing Director of the company, said MVA230 transformer with 400 KV has been designed for new generation of oil and gas power plants of Class A and transformers with 1240 MVA for Petroleum Engineering and Development Company.
He said that producing any of these power plant transformers saves $1.5 million, adding these transformers are of different dimensions designed under standard power and voltage for power plants.
He noted that distributing, super distributing and power transformers for oil and gas companies have been designed and produced, costing much less comparing to the foreign model.
Fathi-Pour added that the Iranian company is one of the top 5 companies in West Asia, seeking to join top 10 companies of the world.
