Tehran, YJC. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that celebrating the Persian Gulf day does not mean that any threats are directed at the persian gulf.

Speaking in the sidelines of a ceremony on the occasion of the Persian Gulf day in Alborz High, the President said "Those who speak above their position here and there are not so much powerful as to create problems for the Persian Gulf. In fact the Persian Gulf day is an occasion for stressing friendships, security, brotherhood, regional cooperation, and honoring the name of our dear Iran.”

Elsewhere also the Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the name of the Persian Gulf will always remain so. Speaking in the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony held for the UN Human Development report in 2013, Salehi said "The Persian Gulf has always been the Persian Gulf and will remain so forever.
