TEHRAN, May 18, YJC - Iran inaugurated the first production line of lactic butter for the first time in the country, making 7.000 tons of butter annually in a modern way.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "Considering currency problems and money transfer in 2012, our biggest problem was providing butter for Iran in 2012 since it consumes 60.000 tons of butter in the country,” said Managing Director of Pa’ak Dairy Industries Alireza Sajadi.
Launching the production line saves 35 million euros of the country’s currency annually, he continued.
He further said that 9 Iranian dairy industries managed to have an opportunity for exports to Russia.
Iran produces one percent of the world milk and comes as the 2nd or 3rd country in importing milk, he said, adding it can meet local needs in case the required milk is provided.
