Tehran, YJC. Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi has said that the development of 1000-3000 km range radars is in order.

Providing comments that currently radars with ranges from 500 to 700 kilometers are made in the country, the Islamic Republic of Iran Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics said in his speech in the second meeting on Radar Technical Systems in Imam Hossein University "In the past years we have witnessed a leap in radar technology. Now we have had numerous achievements in radar technology. Radars with ranges from 500 to 700 km are build and there are plans for development of radars with ranges from 1000 to 3000 km.”

Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi added "Also currently parts of the radars for the discovery of satellites are being developed which system follows the arraying pattern.”

The Defense Minister also stated that in the coming months Iran’s new developments in radar, watercraft, hovercraft, and submarine sections will be unveiled.
