TEHRAN, August 5, YJC - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned that any violation of JCPOA would face a united response by Iranian nation.

Rouhani warns any nuclear deal violation to face Iranians united responseTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Our peace depends on our weapon and our weapon depends on our peace. The JCPOA is an example of national unity in Iran….but the world is aware that any violation of this international treaty will face a united response by Iranian nation and government,” he said after his swearing-in ceremony held in Iranian parliament on Saturday.

He continued Iran prefers peace rather than war in both foreign and internal policies.

“We are always ready to defend our nation, but we believe that defense does not come true only by weapon. We back our armed forces, but our biggest weapon is our nation.”

Rouhani also slammed the US for obstruction in the nuclear deal, saying that the US breaking promise on the deal has shown the world that it is unreliable partner.

He further referred to Iran’s economy, and said, “Since beginning of the 11th government, we have devised an 8-year path for economic reforms. In the first 4 years we set economic stability and establishing durable interactions with world as pre-requisite of reforms.”
