TEHRAN, September 25 - Amaq Agency has released a few photos depicting ISIS militants launching a guided missile towards a Kurdish-held building in Raqqa’s city centre.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Remarkably, the blast engulfed at least four members of the US-backed ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF), all of whom are presumed dead. The incident took place in the Youth Housing District according to the ISIS-tied outlet.

Despite reports of more rapid Kurdish advances, skirmishes continued to take place in the Amin, Hena, Andulus and Al-Nahda neighborhoods on Sunday while jihadist fighters remain bogged down inside Al-Naim Boulevard and Raqqa’s Municipal Stadium.

Over the past 24 hours, the Islamic State has sustained 19 confirmed casualties in the provincial capital of Raqqa while the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) admitted to have lost 5 fighters, possibly those depicted above.

After an almost 4-month long battle, the remaining ISIS garrison in Raqqa city is expected to capitulate within a few weeks, a military source told Al-Masdar News this evening.

In the same time, Islamic State units have finally been defeated and completely expelled from Raqqa’s countryside following a succesful mechanized offensive by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) along the Euphrates River.
