TEHRAN, November 22 - Iran’s lawmakers in a letter to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday described the collapse of the Daesh terrorist group as the victory of the resistance front against hegemonic powers.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In the letter, they congratulated the Leader, the Iranian, Iraqi, Syrian and Lebanese nations, all supporters of the resistance front and Muslims across the world on the ultimate defeat of the Takfiri terrorists.
“Undoubtedly, this was not just a victory against … criminal, bloodthirsty Deash Takfiri terrorists but the victory of the front of truth-seeking and resistance against the front of world hegemony and its international and regional puppets,” read the letter, signed by over 200 parliamentarians.
They also lauded all Iraqi, Syrian, Iranian, Lebanese, Pakistani, and Afghan fighters who played a role in making the major achievement, especially Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Quds Force Major General Qassem Soleimani.
In a message to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on Tuesday, Major General Soleimani declared that the notorious group’s rule has come to an end with the accomplishment of a mission to liberate Syria’s eastern city of Al-Bukamal, near the Iraqi border.
Speaking on behalf of all commanders and forces fighting against terrorism, thousands of Iranian, Iraqi, Syrian, Lebanese, Afghan, and Pakistani martyrs and those handicapped in defending the life and dignity of Muslims and their sanctities, the top general congratulated Ayatollah Khamenei, the Iranian nation, the people of Iraq and Syria, and all Muslims on the fall of Daesh.
