TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Larijani in a message to Speaker of Egyptian House of Representatives Ali Abdel-Aal, expressed sorrow over the terrorist attack in a mosque in Sinai Peninsula which claimed lives of 300 people.
He also extended condolences to Egyptian government and nation over the deadly attack.
“As you are aware, uprooting all forms of terrorism needs collective and international effort and cooperation of all countries for serious confrontation with ideology and supporters of these criminal and Takfiri groups,” he said.
At least 305 people, including 27 children, were killed after gunmen detonated a bomb and mowed down worshippers at Rawda Mosque in North Sinai on Friday.
Egypt public prosecutor’s office said in a statement on Saturday that the individuals who waged the deadly gun and bomb assault on the mosque were carrying a flag of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.
