TEHRAN, December 13 - “Iran is ready for cooperation with each of Islamic countries to defend the Holy Quds without any precondition and consideration,” said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Speaking in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) urgent summit on Jerusalem al-Quds in Istanbul on Wednesday, he reiterated that all problems of Islamic World could be settled through talks.
He said that the recent US move showed that Americans are only after maximum interests of Zionist regime, and does not respect legal demands of Palestinians.
Rouhani called on the OIC member states to categorically condemn the US recent move to relocate its embassy from tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds and recognizing the city as ‘capital’ of Israel.
He also stressed unity of Islamic World against Zionist regime.
“”Although we have differences in certain issues, but we should not have any disagreement on defending Jerusalem al-Quds and Palestinian morale. All problems of the Islamic World can be settled through talks. We can support Islamic Ummah and Jerusalem al-Quds better through Islamic unity.”
The US should understand the reality that Islamic World is not indifferent to the destiny of Palestine and holy al-Quds, he said.
He also called for monitoring moves of Zionist regime continuously and urged the OIC to hold ministerial meetings if necessary to take the required steps.
