Tehran, YJC. Top Iranian negotiator reiterates that there has been no agreement on Fordo or Arak facilities.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister in EU and Americas Affairs and top nuclear negotiator in response to recent statements by the US Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said "Time and again I have told Mrs. Sherman in public and private that we understand that they got problems inside the Congress. But it is their problem and they are forced to make statements in order to justify things to the congressmen or to the public mind. We understand that, but they have no right to do so on our account, saying things that aren’t true.”

Abbas Araqchi stated "Regarding that, I specifically pointed out that no agreement has been made regarding Fordo or Arak. I have maintained that there has been progress in the talks, and that doesn’t mean any agreement must have come by.”

He also pointed to the freeing of Iran’s frozen assets by the West and said "Last Friday the first installment was due. Based on the trend we have followed in the past 6 months, the freeing was officially carried out and then the official measures were taken to transfer the sum to the Central Bank account.”
