The US military says it has launched airstrikes against ISIS in eastern Afghanistan following the killing of 13 US soldiers in an ISIS suicide attack at Kabul airport.
According to the US military, the attack took place in Nangarhar province and there are early signs that the target was killed.
The attack was carried out in response to a deadly ISIS suicide attack at the entrance to Kabul airport, the first US airstrike since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan.
