Tehran, Abu Dhabi to hold high commission session

Tehran, YJC. Tehran and Abu Dhabi are set to hold their next high-level commission session in the first half of the Iranian calendar year which starts March 21.


Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister in African and Arab affairs and the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Muhammad Gargash, in a meeting in UAE capital on Thursday negotiated a variety of subjects that included ways of expanding bilateral ties as well as regional developments.

The two officials also agreed to hold their next high-level joint commission session in the 1st half of the next year (Iranian calendar).

During the meeting which was held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, Amirabdollahian and Gargash exchanged views on ways to expand mutual relations as well.

The two diplomats also discussed regional developments, specially the current situations in Syria, Lybia and Bahrain.

They stressed the need for cooperation among regional states in fighting terrorism.

Amirabdollahian arrived in the UAE capital on Tuesday to meet and confer with senior UAE officials on such topics as the revenues to expand the two-way ties and regional developments.

Iran has always emphasized strengthening ties with governments of the Middle Eastern, especially to maintain security in the region.
