Tehran, YJC. The Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali has said that the country is monitoring regional developments closely.

In an article which was published in the Monday issue of Al-Akhbar daily, the Iranian diplomat stressed Iran’s readiness to provide military aid and army equipment to the Lebanese army to fight terrorists.

Fathali called on the countries which are targets of ISIL terrorist operations to remain vigilant in the face of terrorism and adopt creative methods to ward off its threat.

The Iranian envoy described the recent visit made by Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to 3 regional countries_ Iraq, Syria and Lebanon_ as a move to stress Tehran’s support for anti-terrorism policies.

He also pointed to new measures adopted by the states which are known to be the axes of resistance against terrorist groups.

The Iranian ambassador further pointed out that the terrorist activities of groups such as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) just aim at sowing discord in Islamic nations and causing tension.

He stressed the Zionist regime is the only party that reaps the most benefit from acts of terrorism carried out.

Such terrorist groups, the Iranian diplomat added, pose serious threat not only to Islam and Muslims states, but to the world in large.
