The study is based on dopamine receivers which play influential role in neurotransmitter system, she said, adding, studies have shown that disorder in dopamine receivers in lung cells would cause lung cancer.

The results of the study showed that dopamine receptor gene expression in people with cancer cells has considerably lessened comparing to that in healthy people.

The drug is named Bromocriptine.

The nano-liposomal type of the drug can be used for treatment of other types of cancers as well, she said, adding nano-pharmaceuticals can have the highest level of effect for treatment disease in shorter time.
