TEHRAN, April 24, YJC - Iran and Pakistan stressed increasing the volume of bilateral commercial exchanges to $5 billion.
Iran, Pakistan emphasize increasing commercial exchanges to $5 blnTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "There are extensive potential and capabilities for expanding commercial and economic cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad not used well and we should try enjoying them,” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a meeting with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq here in Tehran.

He added Iran is ready to meet Pakistan’s energy needs. 

"Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline has reached Pakistani border and we hope that the Pakistani side would pursue the required measures more seriously to accomplish the project.”

Ayaz Sadiq, for his part, called for boosting Iran-Pakistan bilateral ties in all fields.

He said boosting bilateral cooperation between Iran’s Chabahar Port and Pakistani Gwadar Port is important for developing bilateral economic cooperation, as calling on Iran to join china-Pakistan new corridor.

He said the corridor is a very good path for improving commercial exchanges in the region.

The Pakistani official said his country is enthusiastic to join Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.
