Saturday, 16 January 2021 (YJC)_ A top IRGC commander said the ongoing large-scale war games are aimed to neutralize enemies’ threats.

IRGC: large-scale war games are to neutralize enemies’ threatsIn his remarks on the sidelines of the Payambar-e Azam 15 (The Great Prophet 15) exercise which is underway in the Central Desert of Iran, the commander of the Aerospace Division of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said the ongoing large-scale war games are aimed to neutralize enemies’ threats.

Elsewhere in his remarks he said "The missile program is a means for producing power and security for Iran.”

He went on to say “the country’s armed forces are ready to respond firmly in case of any threats from the enemy against our security and integrity.”

“The current wargame and the other intensive exercises that have been held over the past 15 days, will continue for the next five days,” he noted.

“various classes of long-range ballistic missiles were launched in the final stage of the war game on Saturday morning to detonate the hypothetical enemy’s warships from a distance of 1,800 kilometers north of the Indian Ocean,” he announced.

 While saying that, “In the past, this was done up to 300 km in the Persian Gulf” he added, “Today, our goal was to destroy the enemy fleet in the northern Indian Ocean, 1,800 km away.”
