TEHRAN, December 7 - Iranian President Advisor Hamid Abou-Talebi said the US decision to relocate its embassy to Jerusalem al-Quds and recognizing the city as capital of occupying Zionist regime is ‘clear violation of international resolutions’.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - He said that the move is a ‘strategic shift in regional equivalents’.
“The Islamic World and Arabs should either take a strategic step in the manner of dealing with the issue or face a historic humiliation.”
He said that the Middle East is on the verge of a strategic shift.
US President Donald Trump officially declared the disputed city of Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel's capital, despite warnings from around the world that the measure risks triggering a fresh wave of violence in the Middle East.
In a speech at the White House earlier in the day, Trump said his administration would also begin a years-long process of moving the American embassy in Tel Aviv to the holy city.
