Tehran, YJC. Shariatmadari has said that culture would have a major place in his administration if elected President.

Mohammad Shariatmadari who runs for the Presidential elections 2013 provided answer to a question as whether he has made any decision on cultural officials in his administrative cabinet as "I represent Khatami administration as a cultural administration and I value arts highly. Therefore I have given thought to officials who would help the government in this section.”

Mohammad Shariatmadari who was the Minister of Commerce in Khatami’s cabinet now is a Reformist candidate for the 11th presidential term.

 Shariatmadari who had made a visit to Cinema Azadi theater to watch Tehran, 1500 said after the show "I will hand over the management of artistic affairs to experts, avoiding politicization.”
