Tehran, YJC. Mohammad Raoufi has said that the main problem with the Reform Front is that they only think of consensus after a number of Reformists have announced candidacy.
Mahmoud Raoufi, Member of the Central Council for the
National Trust Party has said in an interview with Fars regarding inside
problems of the Reform Front "The main problem with Reformists compared to all
other political currents is that they suffer separatism, which is a grave flaw.”
"The main problem is that after individuals like Kavakebian,
Aref, and Shariatmadari have entered the stage, the Reformists set to decide on
which one to make consensus, or whether enter elections with consensus or with
a number of candidates,” he added.
Raoufi believed that the Reformists would not reach agreement
on Kavakebian since he does not have what is required for presidency.
He also said that it is not necessary for the Reformists to
make consensus on one real Reformist person, but can succeed via someone like
Hassan Rohani.
