Wednesday, 10 February 2021 (YJC)_Iranian President said the country will back to its commitments under JCPOA only after 5+1's return.
In his remarks on Wednesday on the occasion of the 42nd Islamic Revolution victory, Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani said the country will back to its commitments under JCPOA only after 5+1's return.
“The day we witness 5+1 fulfills its commitments, we will be ready to adhere to our commitments under the JCPOA,” Rouhani said.
He went on to add “The world will choose the path of dialogue with Iran, and “We will be victorious in this path.”
Elsewhere in his remarks he said “If the great nation of Iran had not stood against this tyrant of the White House and had not defeated him with resistance, we might have pulled out the deal after Trump which would be an effortless and costless victory for Trump.”
“If we withdrew from the deal, all sanctions would have been returned against Iran” he said while adding that “in this case Israeli-American plots could have been realized.”
He, moreover, said the resistance of the people crushed Trump in the past three years, while emphasizing the fact that “Wherever we were together and worked together, God gave us victory and as we won the eight-year imposed war, we will win the three-year economic war.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Rouhani put emphasis on the importance of negotiation to achieve the interests of the nation and said, "Negotiation is one of the tools of today's world modern governance.”
"making a pact and negotiating with our enemies are the reasons why we are proud of ourselves,” Rouhani said.
Rouhani continued to talk about sanctions, coronavirus, psychological pressure and psychological warfare and military threats as four factors that have threatened the Iranian people in the past year, adding, "The Iranian people stood firm and today, thank God, are in better conditions than last year.”
He then continued to talk about the maximum policy of US former administration and said “Today, the world understands that the maximum pressure policy has simply failed” while adding that “that’s because of Iranian people and their resistance against outsider media."
“People should be aware of the fact that were it not be for foreign conspiracies and hostility of the Zionists, American extremists and reactionaries in the region, and the imposed economic war against the Iranian people, we would be in a much better situation today."
“we own the best of military, defence and missile power today but all are pale in comparison to the trust of the people,” Rouhani added.
