Tehran, YJC. Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi has said that all must make consensus on the Principalist and lay aside other opinions.

Mesbah Yazdi said "If in the elections things were to go around Principalist/Reformist, all must become unanimous on the Principalist and put aside other opinions they have. All must make consensus on somebody who has votes against them.”

Yazdi, Member of the Assembly of Experts, said "It is to regret that some who fail at every turn and are allowed nowhere, even in the Friday prayers, talk of unity and say unity is what we say.”

Mesbah Yazdi then pointed to the 8th term elections and said "At that time power, facilities, the state radio and TV, and even wealth were in the hands of the Reformists. In such situations it is wise if we disregard everything. Consensus would be wise.”

He then added "Today the Reformists do not have that status and have no chance to win. The best they can think of is who to choose that would not fail qualifications. As for their leaders they will no doubt be disqualified. Therefore they are looking for someone with a relatively bright past who could win. But it is improbable that people will welcome them.”
